St. Alfred Church recently held a picnic for the alter servers. It was a day of swimming, soccer, games, and a barbecue lunch out at Burgoyne Woods Park in central St. Catharines. The barbecue was handled by fellow Knights, Jack Konst, Ron Milne and his brother-in-law, Claude Lortie, Ralph Deluca, and Bill Grodesky. The barbecue is held yearly, and Monsignor Clutterbuck asks the Round Table to do the organizing. Claude Lortie of the Cathedral council, and Bill Grodesky of Council 1394 are the Round Table representatives. Also joining the picnic from St. Alfred were Father Al Caga, Father Oliver Iwuchukwu, Father John Bosco, and seminarian Rico Passero.
